It's Forties File Friday folks!!

It's about time Forties File Friday returned!  We'll start out simple and easy.  Choose your preferred method.  Answer the question in the comments, send me an email, a text, a photo (with or without a write up!) an old fashioned letter, or a carrier pigeon, give me a call and tell me what to write, post your own blog and link up to the file.  It really doesn't matter. What matters is that you reply in some way... long responses while enjoyed are NOT necessary!

As a shout out to this years Graduates!!!  CONGRATULATIONS!!

Adriana and Johnny; June 8th, and Caleb; May 31st. 

Graduations.  Either your own, your children, your high school, college, university or primary if you like!  For that matter it can be your opinion of all the pomp and circumstance.

Thankfully, John had a water proof camera and shared the photos from the older crowds water day.  There were many more than I will post.  Most looked like this....

at least it was proof that John was there.

Those who were there will see this as a reminder of how much work was required to maneuver their tubes through the constantly moving river.

Their stories of sore arms, muscles and sunburns were mingled with stories of tipping over, floating into the bushes, murky waters, hints of who was graceful and who was....  not so graceful, were a hoot to listen to.  

Fortunately, these photos also tell the story of a great time that was had by all who floated along the river for the water activity in the over 12 years category.

Happy Birthday Johnny

Johnny was my first birthday blog one year ago today! So this officially ends the year of personalized birthday blogs.... I just can't keep up with all the great people in my life who keep aging.... and those who would rather not age.... so I'm working on a simpler birthday blogging plan for the next year of blog life!... (I actually skipped 2 last year somehow so I'll do them and then officially start the next plan... Marina and Grandma... it wasn't that you were overlooked last year... I just didn't have my groove going yet...)

Regardless... Johnny is a year older and wiser today and we wish him all the best! I don't think this blog even finds him at home but rather out gallivanting about with his Dad. I think that's his favourite pastime anyway!
