We made it... to the finish!
The final derby.
The district decided to put on a final shindig derby to celebrate the end of the scouting legacy. Since it was an unofficial Derby.. they could race any car they had ever made as long as it still met the qualifications of weight and rules. Also siblings could also race a car. Emerson was so excited!
They did not win, but they enjoyed the races.
I do wonder at all this finality... The wards still own the tracks, timers, scales.... the boys love racing the cars.... perhaps there will be derbies of a new sort in the future.
