I have never officially played bingo in my life. Sure I've played at kiddie parties with cheerios, and conference bingo, all that, so I know the gist of it. Recently I've even volunteered at Duncans scout group bingo fundraiser concession. Tonight, Paige took us all to a real bingo hall to play.
She brought a smorgasbord of snacks and set us up with bingo dobbers, and bingo computers. This was High-tech bingo. I would have snapped a pic of all the fun but you see.... I got kicked out before I dobbed my first card.
Yup. An officer, why does a bingo hall require an officer? Can't really tell you, I didn't get to stay. I'm guessing the officers are there to kick out ladies with toddlers.
Whittaker and I left with no where to go, a small plate of cheese and crackers and the stroller. We arrived at the van as I formulated a plan to go fill the tank and clean out the car and get it organised again after travelling for six days when I noticed a man standing on the other side of my van. He was smoking. I figured, no harm, we'll get in and drive away. Then he reached down, pulled up his pants, apologized to me as he walked back into the bingo hall, saying "you gotta go when you gotta go!" I'm talking about an, older, black guy, smoking, hardly any teeth, wearing a white tank top undershirt and sweat pants. I am definitely not in Kansas anymore or Utah, or any place remotely normal to me!
Yes folks I got bingo tonight.
